Notes pages allow you to enter notes from a form in your web browser. Visitors to your web pages can then read the notices you have posted.
The advanced board edit facility displays the text and pictures of your noticeboard page with buttons added to edit the page. Each section is outlined in red and contains buttons that act on that section. Additional buttons between sections enable new sections to be inserted.
- Swaps a section with the section above.
- Swaps a section with the section below.
- Inserts a copy of the section.
- Shows a form to edit the section.
- Deletes the section.
- Inserts a new section between existing sections.
- Adds a new section at the end of the noiceboard.
To preview how the finished page will look, click the link marked Preview at the bottom of the form.
The button shows a form to edit the section. Once editing a section is complete, will save the changes, or will discard the changes.
The box Section Heading: shows the heading associated with the section.
You can select any of the pictures associated with your web pages using the Picture menu to associate the picture with a section of text. The radio buttons L and R decide which side of the page the picture will be displayed. will display a preview of the picture specified in the Picture menu.
The box Edit Section Contents: shows the text within the section. For long sections of text you are advised to edit and spell check them on a word processor, then cut and paste to the form before saving.
Noticeboards are limited on the size of each section, the maximum number of sections and the maximum number of pictures. The advanced noticeboard editor will advise when these limits are exceeded.
