Using Schedules and Individuals Lists

This page is not accessible through the directory indexes. It contains information for members of the directory about their pages and how the directory works.

How it works

Individuals lists or any other form of schedule work in the same way. Visitors to your web pages see the schedule as a list of dates, activities and prices. However, you can update your own schedule at any time using a form accessible through the members' information area of this site.

Making it work for you

Skippers have found that the deepsea schedule is by far the most effective way of using deepsea. When you have spare places or a day without a booking, post it on your schedule and the spaces will then be available for everyone to find on our Angling Spaces or Diving Spaces search engines.

Access to schedules

Every deepsea skipper has a free limited schedule. Updating schedules is security protected. If you own a schedule such as an individuals list you will have a username and password you can use to login by clicking the button “Login” at the bottom of the menu bar.

Getting started

Read the rest of this page and the relevant help, then Login with your deepsea username and password.

To preserve the security of your schedule page, it is important to change your password from the initial password you are given. Whilst our security mechanisms are reasonably strong, your initial password is not very secure and we do not want hackers playing jokes with your schedule pages.

Content

Please keep each entry brief and to the point. Don't waste space repeating the obvious (like your email address or phone number). If necessary, qualify each entry as to whether it applies to individuals, whole boat charter, or whatever in-between.

Excessively verbose or irrelevant entries may be automatically filtered from appearing on the Deepsea search engines, or reduced to just "see boat for details".

Once a date is fully sold, please mark it as such or delete it. Leaving obsolete information on a list may frustrate users and deter them from using the list again.

Security

As with any computer system, it is important to keep a backup copy of valuable data. Use the Download section of the Advanced Schedule Editor to make backup copies of your schedule.
