I'm a full time Skipper and have been in the fishing business since I left school in 1972.
I started in commercial fishing, with my Father, and doing some charter work and about 10 years ago went to charter work full time.
I served on Weymouth Lifebaoat for 17 years, 9 1/2 years as second coxswain.
The Atlanta is a 35 foot grp boat it is power by a Cummins diesel of 260 Hp

On Sunday the 10 of February we went to the east of weymouth to see if we could find some cod ,no joy with the cod but we had 10 conger the best eel was 35lb .Just as the tide got going my daughter Charlotte caught this Undulate ray of 17lb10oz,
We can now offer Sea Angling holidays from Weymouth, fishing around the Dorset coast. There is accommodation in the 4 Star Florian Guest House with fishing from Atlanta.

In August Weymouth had it's 3 day conger competiton which Kelly Mason won with best eel for the 3 days. This fish was 67lb. Not bad from an inshore mark and only 70 feet of water. We been fishing the Shambles Bank and marks west of Portland Bill. On the the best day we had 9 brill and 1 turbot. The best fish of the day was a brill of 8lb 9oz. On the marks west of Portland Bill, the bream fishing has being good with fish up to 4lb 8oz. What we have been catching as well is cod, the best day 9 fish with the heaviest at 9lb 8oz. We have just started to see some Whiting, small fish but still big enough to eat. On the Kidney Bank started to see Blonde Rays.
On the 11 of April Dave had this find fish of 6LB 2oz ,This one made the day,We had 28 fish on the boat ,The top man had 6 plaice that was Norman Miller.
The weather was good on Saturday the 11 of March,We left Weymouth to go Plaice and Turbot fishing on the Shambles Bank.We being have so fish over the last three weeks when we could get out,but i did not think we would have a Halibut on the boat but here it is 8lb 4oz halibut,In 40 year of go fishing this is the first one i have see caught on a rod, The fish put up a good fight i thought at first it was a big Turbot but how wrong can one be,i think it is the first one caught on a rod out of Weymouth? . Well done Billy to get such a good fish.
