About Gypsy II   'Blog' Last Updated 20th Nov 2017 at 9:46 pm

Blog image After the success of Gypsy over the last four years i have now purchased Gypsy ll, at 35 feet in length she can carry up to 12 anglers also with her extra size trips are less likely to be called of because of the weather.
Gypsy is a perfect boat to fish the many great fishing marks around Weymouth and Portland including the Shambles, Kidney and Adamant banks but please be aware at a cruising speed of 8 knots I do not do mid channel wrecking trips or Bassing in the Portland race.
If you fancy a nice day out fishing for Bream, Rays, Tope, Smoothound, Plaice etc Gypsy could be just what your looking for.
My half day trips have been very popular for families with children, but i would recommend children to be at least 8 years old to go.
To find Gypsy's mooring just Google Gypsy boat fishing trips for directions.

About your trip

Weymouth is one of the top ports to go boat fishing, and because Portland gives us plenty of shelter from the wind we can fish on day's that normally would keep us in port, but please be aware that if the weather stops us from going further out this can dramatically effect what and if we catch, sometimes we will not be able to go to sea at all due to the weather, please remember this is for your own safety so try not to be to disappointed.
2017 Prices
Full day 8 hrs with your own gear and bait £40 or £45 with bait supplied
Full day 8 hrs for beginners with all the gear and bait £50 or £45 if you bring your own bait
1/2 day or evening trip 4 hrs with your own gear and bait £20 or £25 with bait supplied
1/2 day or evening trip 4 hrs for beginners with all the gear and bait £30
For group bookings between 6 to 12 people you can hire Gypsy 2 for just £7.50 per person per hour with two hours being the minimum, this can be a great option if you fancy a few hours out to go sight seeing or fishing, these prices do not including bait
You can hire the whole boat with your friends for a 8 hour trip for £400 per day with your own gear and bait or £500 with gear and bait
On all the trips there will be tea, coffee and hot chocolate, there is an onboard toilet for when the need calls.
Full payment is required to book your trip except for full boat bookings then a 50% deposit is required with the other 50% being paid no later than 48 hrs before the trip, there are no refunds unless i cancel the trip so please think carefully before booking.
Please be aware fishing on a boat can be hazardous therefore no responsibility will be exepted for any injury whilst aboard Gypsy, if you make a payment for a trip you are agreeing to the above.
I am sorry to say but Gypsy is not suitable for the less abled angler also if you have any serious conditions please inform me before booking,

On these short trips quite often we may only catch smaller fish, but there is always the chance of a decent one coming along just like these.
