Weymouth International Boat Angling Challenge 2011
Weymouth 17th-21st October 2011
Come and fish the biggest week long Charter Boat open competition from the UK's top charter boats.
The waters around Weymouth have fantastic fishing marks in this competition we had Bass to 18lb , Stingray to 50lb , Blonde Ray to 28lb , Ballan Wrasse to 6lb , Conger to 75lb Cod to 17lb and many more quality fish with many anglers breaking there own personel records.
The format will be similar to previous years:
11th Annual Competition held in Weymouth
The format will be similar to previous years but please check out the 2011 rules:
1 Day Wreck, 1 Day Specimen Deep Reef, 1 Day Species Hunt (1 of each species)
1 Day Lure Only, and 1 Day Species Points (10 of each species).
The overall/daily cash prizes are as below:
Daily Winners £300, £200, £100 (Each Day)
Overall Winner £500, £300, £200
Daily Boat Winners £100 each
Plus a very large prize table for lower positions and Top Lady, Top Junior, Top Boat, Inter Services cup, Top Overseas angler (Not British), Best Flatfish,
Best Ray, Best Conger, Best Black Bream, Best Cod, Best Bass Fish and Most Unusual fish of the week and several other individual prizes.
There will also be the optional 2 and 4 man teams and 4 man drawn team events.
(The prize money will increase as will the prize table if we have more than 60 entries.)
The event will still be bait supplied and a container will be on the quay to secure your equipment. The traditional Hog Roast will take place on the Wednesday and a buffet presentation on the Friday.
This is the 11th year of this event and without your support it would not be the biggest 5 day Charter Open event this country has so please come along and have a great fishy week at the Weymouth Challenge.
